Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, Nyx owned a few studios in the Omaha area. She traveled world wide for tattoo conventions and guest spots at other studios. In 2012, Nyx and Tripp opened two tattoo studios in Colorado Springs named Steadfast Tattoo Studio and Amber Lotus Tattoo Studio. In 2020 Nyx and Tripp moved back to Omaha to establish Dream Tree Tattoo, which was rebranded as Heritage Art Tattoo in late 2025 to better express their philosophy and experiences in the tattoo industry.
